Your day will include exploring the beautifully restored Ruins of Mayapan where you can still climb the Pyramids and enjoy the never-ending view from the top. This is a medium-sized site with Pyramids, several structures and an ancient observatory. The grounds are well-maintained and provides for an easy stroll. Families and Adventurers particularly enjoy this site as you can go anywhere and climb on anything – You are encouraged to explore and experience! After your exploration you will drive through a Maya village into the jungle to cool off in a stunning jungle Cenote, where you can Swing from a rope, leap from 20 feet, or have rustic stair access to a water-level platform. This Cenote is excellent for swimming & snorkeling and the water is crystal clear. If the sun is shining just right, it’s magical!
This Cenote is a combination of a Cavern and Cave Cenote and is truly breathtaking. After being thoroughly refreshed, you will enjoy a traditional Maya lunch prepared by the family with fresh tortillas.
